Czech Airlines launches flights to Abu Dhabi in September

Abu Dhabi Airports (ADAC) has announced Czech Airlines' intention to open flights between Prague and Abu Dhabi.

Czech Airlines will operate flights from Prague to Abu Dhabi starting September 21, 2011. The airline will operate 4 non-stop flights per week between the capitals of the Czech Republic and the UAE. With the opening of this destination, Abu Dhabi Airport will serve a total of 80 cities in 45 countries.

The connection between Prague and Abu Dhabi will be based on a code-sharing agreement that was recently signed by Czech Airlines and Etihad Airways. According to Miroslav Dvorak, president of Czech Airlines, this agreement will allow them to provide their passengers with an unprecedented opportunity to travel to the UAE and other countries of the Middle East, as well as to African, Asian states and Australia.

A partnership agreement between Czech Airlines and Etihad Airways will allow passengers of both airlines to use the same ticket in case of a transit flight with a transfer at Abu Dhabi Airport.
