Tourists from the USA and Europe prefer luxury hotels in the Middle East

According to the online travel agency Expedia, tourists from Europe and America spend more money on fashionable hotels in the Middle East region than the residents of the Middle East.

Tourists from the USA and Europe usually book four or five star hotels, while Middle Eastern residents are less whimsical in choosing a place to stay.

According to statistics from the Expedia portal, the majority of online reservations for Middle Eastern hotels are carried out by residents of the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Italy, with 70% of the hotels they book in the region are classified as four stars or higher.

Another trend noted by the experts of the Expedia portal relates to the amount spent by tourists on staying in hotels. Tourists from the USA and Europe usually spend more money on their stay than tourists from the Middle East, booking hotels for longer periods, often ordering food in their rooms or eating at the hotel restaurant.

Thus, fashionable hotels can count on a stable investment in Western tourists.

This trend is likely to have a certain impact on the increasingly expressed intentions of investors to increase investments in the budget sector of the hotel industry in the Middle East.
