Tiger Woods will take part in the Dubai Desert Classic tournament in 2011

Eldrick Thont Tiger Woods, a famous American golfer and 14-time Major Tournament winner, confirmed his participation in the 2011 Dubai Desert Classic Professional Golf Tournament.

The official statement of the tournament organizers said that Tiger Woods expressed a desire to regain the title of winner, which he won in 2008 in Dubai. Woods is confident that the first-class golf course at which the tournament will take place will contribute to his victory. Recall that in 2009, Woods also wanted to take part in the Dubai Desert Classic, however, was forced to abandon his intention due to the upcoming knee surgery.

Woods was previously the winner of Dubai tournaments in 2006 and 2008, and has never dropped below fifth place since 2001, when he first took part in competitions in Dubai.

The Dubai Desert Classic 2011 international tournament will be held on the Emirates Golf Course from February 10 to 13.
