The famous Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis introduced new models of its famous and very popular Easy Diver collection at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. It should be noted that the presentation of Roger Dubuis watches was first held in the Middle East region.
During the presentation, connoisseurs and connoisseurs of Roger Dubuis manufactory products had a unique opportunity to see six new watches, among which we should especially note: men's watch SED46-821-91-00 / 09A01 / A, released in a limited edition of 888 pieces.
Another unconditional masterpiece of the brand is the female model of an elegant sports watch with a rubber strap in lilac SED40-8219B-10 / 0DA10 / A with a 40-mm case, a contrasting combination of lilac and white mother of pearl on the dial, with a central sector decorated with the “Clou de” pattern Paris ”and a bezel with 36 diamonds. This watch is also released in a limited edition of 888 pieces, and the men's wrist chronograph SED46-78-9C-00 / 03A01 / A, in a limited edition of 250 pieces.
Since the name of the Easy Diver collection speaks for itself, the place for the presentation of new models was not chosen by chance. The Atlantis, The Palm Hotel’s giant aquarium, surrounded by fish and marine life, was surrounded by beautiful diving girls throughout the evening, and guests enjoyed unique masterpieces of modern watchmaking and leisurely conversations.
So we decided to ask a few questions to Matthew Schuler, chief executive officer of Roger Dubuis, who specially arrived in Dubai to present his company's new products.
Matthew, good evening. Let me congratulate you on the new models in the Easy Diver collection. Where can Roger Dubuis fans get them?
We first introduced our brand in the Middle East last year. Today, our watches can be bought in four specialized Roger Dubui departments located in the multi-brand stores of our distributors in Dubai, as well as in branded departments in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
What are you especially proud of looking at this year's Roger Dubui collections?
I am proud that very expressive female models of watches, made of steel and decorated with diamonds, have appeared in the Easy Diver collection. They, although they look quite massive, very light. Moreover, they are suitable for both everyday wear and evening outings. The beige model is especially good, because beige is the most fashionable color of the season. And since our manufacture has glorified itself as a manufacturer of high-precision watch mechanisms, automatic models are also installed in female models from the new collection. Of the male models, I especially want to mention our new chronograph from the Easy Diver collection and another from the Excalibur collection. These are real works of watchmaking.
What are your future plans for developing the brand and expanding its presence in the international market?
In the modern world, the motivation that prompts people to buy watches has changed qualitatively. Wristwatches are no longer needed just to read time on them. Today, people buy watches that become part of the “Universe of Brands” in order to join the dream and the content that is promoted by a particular brand. Watch today is a manifestation of the “I” itself, to some extent, it is an investment, it is a luxury item, after all. Therefore, for Roger Dubuis, as a company producing watches from "A" to "Z", today there are ideal conditions for creativity and development. We can afford to combine modern design with sophisticated clockworks, each of which is our own development.
Yes, we plan to enter new markets. Last year alone, we presented our products in 20 markets of the world, including in Russia. And this is during the crisis. Ahead are new countries and the expansion of existing markets along with our official retailers. To do this, we carefully study demand, and maybe someday we will have to expand production.
In a nutshell, what distinguishes Roger Dubuis watches from many other Swiss watch brands?
A Roger Dubuis watch is a watch for you, for each individual person in a given time span. They are not in order to give them to their grandchildren (it is quite possible that by that time they will go out of fashion). They are for those who live here and now.
