On hot summer days, when the holidays with children are in full swing, parents should worry in advance about the continued education of their beloved child.
How many schools - so many opinions. But one thing they all have in common is the preparation and collection of documents. In order not to get lost in the bureaucratic labyrinths and not incur considerable material losses when sending the necessary papers by DHL-mail, please, please, dear parents, see the standard list of documents required for entering any school presented below.
Required documents:
- copy of birth certificate and its translation into English or Arabic;
- copy of the passport of the child with a resident visa;
- a copy of the passport of one of the parents on whose visa the child is;
- private bussiness;
- a copy of the personal file and its translation into English, certified by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation or the country from which the child arrived, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Dubai), as well as the Embassy or Consulate of the Russian Federation (or the corresponding country) located in the UAE;
- an extract from the child’s medical card about vaccinations and its translation into English;
- 4 photos 3x4 cm;
- statement from parents.
Note: at the beginning of each academic year, a duplicate contract is signed between the parents and the school administration.
It should be noted that the choice of a school for a child is a purely individual matter and depends on many factors, in particular, on where it is planned to continue its education - in Russia or abroad. Not all Russian higher education institutions recognize the certificates of local schools, but those who are preparing to enter a foreign educational institution, it is important to "plunge" into the education system generally accepted for that country.
In almost all schools with English-language instruction, there are adaptation classes for children whose English is not native. Having completed a training course in this class, the child will subsequently be able to freely join the team on a common basis.
For payment, you need to contact the school secretaries. The amount of the registration fee ranges from 250 to 500 drx. Different schools have different payment options: by the age principle, by the availability of additional conditions, and, in addition, the payment depends on whether or not it includes the cost of textbooks, a school uniform, participation in sports sections and circles for interests, food and school bus. It should be borne in mind that in some educational institutions of the UAE insufficient attention is paid to the sports development of children and physical education classes are very different from those to which we are accustomed in the former Union.
Paid summer camps operate at some schools during the holidays - summer camp, in which your favorite offspring can combine the useful with the pleasant: to tighten and develop your English, find new friends, swim enough, sunbathe daughter and get a lot of interesting information for general development.
School "Choueifat" (Choueifat) in Sharjah, in which "intelligence on the ground" was carried out, seemed to us too "loaded" with rules, conventions and the desire for super discipline, even during the summer holidays. The school bus begins to collect children dressed in a special Shuefat uniform, with backpacks stuffed with teaching aids on their shoulders, from 7 a.m. Children dressed in the form of a “white top, gray bottom”, having poured out of the bus in a crowd, disperse in the classrooms. At exactly 8 o'clock the bell rings and classes begin. Even during the summer school holidays, the Shuefat administration is primarily concerned about the high level of education of the child, and only then thinks about his free time. Of course, the children there also relax, play outdoor games and splash around in the pool. But knowledge is above all! Compliance with this basic law is obviously the reason for the unshakable primacy of the school’s popularity among the general public.
There are no summer camps at Russian schools. But there is one important difference from others: your child will be admitted to the Russian school at any time throughout the school year, whether in September, January or April. No other educational institutions go to such "concessions". If you came to work under a contract and brought your family with you, then your child will have to wait until September to go to study at an English-language educational institution, and in Russian schools you are always welcomed with open arms.
