Emirates and flydubai from the UAE add 3 more Russian cities to the network

Emirates and flydubai from the United Arab Emirates are expanding their network of destinations that they will serve together on a code sharing basis.

Carriers Emirates and flydubai have announced the addition of 16 additional destinations to the joint code-sharing network.

Recall that last month Emirates Airlines announced that joint commercial use from October 29 will concern 29 routes operated by Flydubai on three continents, including six Russian cities: Krasnodar, Samara, Kazan, Mineralnye Vody, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg.

An additional 16 flights include destinations such as Zanzibar and Kathmandu. In addition, Makhachkala, Ufa and Voronezh were added to the network.

You can book tickets on Emirates.com, in the airline’s contact centers or in travel agencies, starting November 8, 2017.

Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said the sharing agreement has received "travelers' positive feedback."

"We have seen great demand for flights from Europe and the United States to South Asian countries," he said.

“This partnership is an unprecedented opportunity for both airlines to unleash the full potential of their networks, offering travelers more choices and flexibility when planning their trips. We want to make the world more convenient,” added Sir Tim Clark.

Gate al-Gate, CEO of flydubai, added: “Many of the benefits of the Dubai International Aviation Center have been recognized by travelers who have already proven their passion for exploring the world. Today's announcement will allow them to discover 16 more places and enjoy the unique features of each airline.”

When booking through code sharing, Emirates passengers will receive free meals and baggage check-in for flights operated by flydubai, both in business and economy class.
