Dubai's new hotel will be 100% solar powered

An eco-hotel has opened in Dubai, the work of which will be fully provided by solar energy.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Diamond Developers held the opening ceremony of the Indigo Dubai Sustainable City, which will become a building with zero energy balance. It will be 100 percent provided with solar energy.

The 143-room hotel is located in the first sustainable integrated community. The architecture and interior design throughout the hotel will be based on the principles of sustainable development at every stage of the guests' stay.

Indigo Dubai Sustainable City also has a café and restaurant next door that will supply fresh produce from urban farms. They will be combined with the Sustainable City Bio Domes hotel and green housing.

The hotel will also create unique rooms for events both indoors and outdoors, which are integrated into the landscape of gardens and city farms. In addition, guests can enjoy various recreational and recreational facilities, such as a gym, an outdoor pool, an outdoor yoga area, and two treatment rooms with private terraces.
