Dubai's flydubai adds new European routes to its network

Dubai's air carrier flydubai becomes the first airline to operate direct flights to Krakow and Catania from the UAE.

Dubai airline flydubai today, December 6, announced the launch of two new European routes for next year. Flights to Krakow, Poland, will be operated from April 8, 2018, and to Catania, Italy, will begin June 13, 2018.

Thus, flydubai becomes the first UAE carrier to operate direct flights to these destinations. With the launch of these new European routes, flydubai has grown to more than 100 destinations in 47 countries.

Gate Al Gate, CEO of flydubai, said: “With the launch of flights to Krakow and Catania, flydubai aims to open new direct air flights to Dubai, and we are doing everything to expand our network and offer our passengers more options.”

Flights to Krakow will expand the carrier network in Eastern and Central Europe, which includes Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Prague, Skopje, Sarajevo and Sofia. Flydubai's European network consists of 24 destinations.

Krakow is known for its picturesque old town with a well-preserved old center, where visitors can stroll through the ruins of the city walls or in the largest city park in Poland - Planty.

flydubai continues to diversify its network by opening direct flights to Italy. Flights to Catania will begin in June 2018 and will be the first flights for the airline from Dubai to the south of Europe. Catania is located on the most popular island of Italy - in Sicily.

Emirates will operate codeshare flights as part of the Emirates and flydubai partnership.
