The UAE had a problem launching a space satellite

Last week, the launch of the third satellite of the United Arab Emirates, which took place with some complications, took place.

A $ 350 million artificial Earth satellite from Yahsat, which is wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi state-owned investment fund, was launched on the Ariane 5 Arianespace rocket at 10:20 p.m. January 25 from Kourou in French Guiana.

According to Yahsat, a number of problems occurred during the launch, which resulted in Al Yah 3 being redirected to another orbit. However, the satellite is intact. The revised flight plan will be used to transfer the satellite to the desired orbit to achieve the objectives of the initial mission.

“We are pleased to know that the satellite is in order and that the necessary steps are being taken to ensure the fulfillment of the initial mission. I would like to thank our technological partner Orbital ATK and the Yahsat team for ensuring the fulfillment of the tasks of Al Yah 3,” said Masood M, Yahsat CEO Sharif Mahmud.

Like its predecessors, Al Yah 1 and Al Yah 2, Al Yah 3 will provide high-speed satellite broadband access for African and Latin American countries.

By 2020, Yahsat plans to launch seven satellites.
