Ajman abolishes several state duties

Ajman passed amendments abolishing the payment of certain state fees.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid ibn Rashid Al Nuaymi, Crown Prince of Ajman, issued the Emir’s Decree No. 01 of 2018 "On Amending the Activities of the Ajman Economic Development Department regarding the collection of state duties."

The decree provides for the abolition of all fees for the issuance of licenses for conducting entrepreneurial activities within the household, also called "Bidayat".

The amendments also repeal any provisions of the law that are contrary to this resolution of the emir.

The decision of the emir will be published in the Government Gazette and sent to the relevant authorities.

This decision was made in the framework of amendments to the Decree of Emir No. 11 of 2011 "On the entry into force of the financial law of the Ajman government and its Executive Regulations", Decree of Emir No. 01 of 2015 "On the Department of Economic Development of Ajman", as well as Decree of Emir No. 12 of 2015 "On the fees of the Department of Economic Development of Ajman." The amendments were based on the recommendations of the Advisor to the head of Ajman on administrative and financial matters.
