Dubai authorities have added a new way to pay for parking through the NFC contactless payment function for Nol cards in the RTA DUBAI application.
Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a smart service that allows smartphone owners to pay for parking using the NFC contactless payment feature for Nol cards in the RTA DUBAI app. Payment methods such as cash and text messages, prepaid cards, and the mobile app continue to apply.
The new service, currently only available on Android devices, is part of the Dubai City Smart City initiative.
Maita ben Adai, director general of the RTA Traffic Agency, said the share of Nol cards among other means of payment provided by RTA is 15 percent.
