Dubai, UAE. In May, getting from the eastern regions of the UAE to Muscat, the capital of Oman, will be much easier - thanks to the opening of the new Al Batinah Expressway with a total length of 265 km.
The new highway connects the settlements of Halban and Khatmat Malaha (Shinas region).
The road has 4 lanes in each direction with a dividing lane inside and is being implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Oman as a strategic project. The opening is scheduled for May 7, 2018.
