Nakheel has signed an agreement with an Austrian operator to build another resort on the Deira Islands in Dubai.
Developer Nakheel will partner with the Vienna House hotel chain to build a 600-room beach resort on the Deira Islands in Dubai - the third joint beach developer project.
The companies said they would jointly build the Vienna House Deira Beach complex. The start and end dates for construction have not yet been announced.
A company from Dubai has already signed a letter of intent with Austria's largest independent hotel chain to build a hotel worth 588 million dirhams ($ US 160 million) in Bangkok.
Ali Rashid Luta, Nakheel Chairman of the Board, stressed the company's intention to implement new upscale hotel projects in Dubai in support of the government’s tourism strategy.
“Vienna House has extensive experience in hotel management, and the operator is famous for its excellent service and hospitality throughout Europe,” he added.
Vienna House Deira Beach will be Nakheel's third joint venture in the Deira Islands. He will join joint projects with the Spanish RIU Hotels and Resorts and Thai Centara Hotels and Resorts.
