Dubai's water park at La Mer by Meraas will open this month.
The new water park on the Dubai coast - Laguna Waterpark in La Mer from Meraas - will open its doors on Saturday, May 12.
The park will feature five main attractions, a lounge, a children's area and a "slow river". The water park will be equipped with access to the beach and to changing cabins.
The cost of a daily ticket will be 99 dirhams ($ US 27) for residents buying online and 125 dirhams ($ US 34) for residents on the spot. Tourists will have to pay 159 dirhams ($ US 43).
Among the attractions of the water park are several unique attractions and slides, including The Manta, Constrictor, The Loop, Freefall and Mad Racer. The Ultimate Surf Machine or WaveOz 180 FloRider is one of three of its kind in the world.
The first leg of La Mer was opened last October between Pearl Jumeirah and Jumeirah Bay. The project occupies 13.4 million square meters. ft.
