In the United Arab Emirates will build a new generation of schools

The ruler of Dubai announced a large-scale project to launch educational institutions of a new generation in the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, vice president and ruler of Dubai, said on Monday, March 4, that a new generation of educational institutions will be created in the UAE. The cost of a large-scale project is estimated at 1.5 billion dirhams ($ US 408 million).

Sheikh Mohammed said that the schools will include laboratories of robotics, artificial intelligence, health and the environment, as well as special sports facilities.

Sheikh Mohammed made this statement while visiting the Higher Colleges of Technology in the Emirate of Fujairah. During his visit to the northern emirates, he also visited Sharjah schools.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, 100 million dirhams ($ US 27 million) will be aimed at developing business skills and career opportunities for 65 thousand students in the hospitality, retail, oil and gas and logistics sectors.

The ruler of Dubai emphasized that this initiative will become a driver for the country's economy, as it will allow people to keep up with technological development and adapt their skills to the demands of the times.

New academies will be open to students and those who want to improve their professional skills in accordance with the requirements of the labor market. Sheikh Mohammed also ordered the creation of programs in higher education institutions so that students who have achieved exceptional success can get higher education in three years.

"Our goal is to introduce a number of new ideas over the next 50 years and contribute to the development of a new generation that will accelerate our economic growth," he said.

"The UAE school is the center of the future. And our students are leaders in the future of the UAE," said Sheikh Mohammed.
