Sharjah week was held in St. Petersburg

Emirate of Sharjah introduced Arab culture in the northern capital of Russia.

Dubai, UAE. The week of the emirate of Sharjah was held in St. Petersburg, on the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The organizer was the Department of Government Relations, which acquainted the Russians with the rich cultural heritage of the emirate.

Within a week, companies from Sharjah presented their latest achievements in the fields of culture, economy and tourism and spoke about the unique socio-cultural characteristics of the emirate. The event has become part of the Sharjah Culture Days in the World, which have been held since 2002.

According to the head of the department, Sheikh Fahim Al Kassimi, "we brought to St. Petersburg our language, literature and cultural identity, which underlie the Sharjah cultural project and serve as a bridge between civilizations and the gateway to the region."

It is worth noting that the event aroused great interest of the public - both residents and guests of St. Petersburg.
