In Dubai, rare works of Salvador Dali will be shown

From February 11 to April 22 at the Memories exhibition at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), you will see lithographs, photographs and paintings by the Spanish painter, the “great and terrible” Salvador Dali, collected bit by bit from collections from around the world.

According to contemporaries, Dali, which was constantly striving for a new and unknown, had so much energy that it was more than enough to realize all its plans in sculptures, paintings and even in the films “Bewitched” by Alfred Hitchcock and “The Golden Age” of Louis Bunuel, for whom Dali wrote the scripts of some episodes.

The main intrigue of the Salvador Dali exhibition is that it will present the painting "Shower of Jasmine", which was first exhibited in 1954 at the Carstairs Gallery in New York, and then at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro. After that, the painting was for a long time in a private collection in Dubai and was not exhibited anywhere. At the exhibition, pay attention to the photographs of Dali made by his close friend, the French photographer Robert Descharn, who was personally selected by his son, exhibition curator Nikola Descharn, for the Dubai exhibition.

Opening hours of the exhibition: from Sunday to Thursday - from 13.00 to 22.00, on Friday and Saturday - from 10.00 to 22.00.
