APRIL 12–15 ANNUAL ANNUAL FAIR OF MODERN ART WORLD ART DUBAI STARTS IN DUBAI, WHICH EVERY YEAR CAUSES ALL GREAT INTEREST IN RESIDENTS OF MEGAPOLIS.

Strong weakness

As part of the third International Contemporary Art Fair World Art Dubai, the organizers promise to show the craziest and most radical art projects. The hits of the fair are paintings, sculptures, installations and photographs (priced from $ 100 to $ 20,000), presented by 120 contemporary art galleries from the UAE, Lebanon, the USA and South Korea.

The exhibition will be held at the World Trade Center. No one has influenced the contemporary art market so much as this art fair - last year its annual turnover reached $ 4 million, which allowed her to get into the TOP20 of the best contemporary art fairs in the world. The organizers are proud to report that the sector of contemporary art in 2016 amounted to 20% of the total world art market, sales in it brought $ 5.25 billion, of which 48% were from art fairs. However, the World Art Dubai fair is not only selling art objects, fabulous profits, making deals, but also the noble curiosity of artists, their desire to escape from everyday reality into the world of fantasies and illusions of modern art.

"We want to invite visitors to our art fair, to show by our example that art objects at World Art Dubai are affordable for any visitor, as many people still think that contemporary art is very expensive," says Nina Torres, founder of the international contemporary fair Miami River Art Fair.

In the world of contemporary art, property redistribution has been going on for many years and a great business revolution has taken place, the essence of which is that art was not ruled by individual artists with well-known names, but by gallery owners, art dealers, curators and collectors. At the World Art Dubai fair, you can see the largest galleries representing the most relevant artists - Boogle Gallery, Create Hub Gallery, Cross Borders Art Gallery, ICAC Gallery (International Creative Art Center), Jade Flower Gallery, Rare Mandi Art Gallery, Studio 3 Art Gallery and many others.

The smell of time

When you are planning to attend the World Art Dubai fair, pay attention to the work of the Italian artist from Rome Luciana La Marca, who touches on the topic of protecting children in third world countries in her work, painting with watercolors, pastels, ink and pencil. Her colleague, a Southern California-based artist Natasha Shoro with Pakistani roots who graduated from the University of California at Fullerton, is able to present ordinary cartography as a beautiful and mysterious one, drawing inspiration from aerial photography and travels around the USA, Africa, Europe and Pakistan (look for her work on the Cross gallery stand Borders Art Gallery).

Do not forget about Jessica Watson-Thorpe, an artist with 20 years of experience from Australia - her extraordinary and bold artistic decisions are supported by the Agora Gallery in New York. The artist depicts butterflies as a symbol of the soul, rebirth and immortality, and addresses the theme of dancing women, who, in her opinion, symbolize "liberation, joy and power." “My grandmother taught me how to feel when I was a kid, and later I studied sculpture, graphics and painting at the University of Adelaide and Sydney,” says Jessica.

As for the main newsmaker of the World Art Dubai fair, 69-year-old Singaporean artist Kay Wye Huang, he studied painting with the famous Lee Man Fong, and in 2007 opened his own art gallery. He will bring to the fair a series of works "Zebra Barcode".

Another sensation of World Art Dubai is artist Ursula Mehalingem, a graduate of KLC School of Design in London, who is actively working in the field of modern glamor, trying to combine entertainment with depth, and acrylic paints on canvas with pearls. Those who like conceptual art should pay attention to the work of Italian artist Anna Laura Millachchi, who will add the necessary zest to her series of paintings by the Atlantis Art Collection - it was based on ancient myths and legends about Atlantis. Her works are presented at the stand of the gallery from Rome, The Secret Gallery.

Every season, more and more new artists from the Emirates appear at World Art Dubai, whose work connoisseurs of art want to purchase in their collections. “Every day we receive applications from young artists who want to show their work to the general public,” said Natalie Igere, manager of the Lamiatos Gallery. “They recently graduated from the university, searched for themselves in various fields, and now they are actively engaged in art.” According to Natalie, the art scene in Dubai is now actively developing, attracting new wealthy customers and the strongest art dealers from around the world, for example, from London.
