Fishing

The Persian Gulf (or as it is commonly called in the region, the Arabian Gulf) is home to many diverse species of marine animals and fish. Fishing enthusiasts can spend days at sea sailing to the Gulf on professionally equipped yachts under the supervision of an experienced team whose members will help ensure a daily rich catch.

Bedouin oasis desert camp

The first Bedouin-style desert camp in Ras Al Khaimah gives guests a great opportunity to get to know the traditional way of life in the desert. Built using only natural materials, Beduin Oasis Desert Camp is, in fact, a step back to the past of the Emirates, in those days when the tents of the Bedouin nomads were made from goat hair and were equipped only with a fireplace and an old gas lamp for cooking and lighting.

Desert Safari

For guests of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, it means a whole day of unforgettable experiences and adventures. A safari usually starts with an exciting 4x4 all-wheel drive car deep into the desert and climbing majestic sand dunes, often at an angle of 45 degrees! Later, guests get the opportunity to ride a camel, enjoy a traditional Arabic lunch and performances by the fire in the "Bedouin" camp.

Growing Farm and Pearl Museum

The first pearl farm in the UAE, located in Ras Al Khaimah, annually produces more than 100,000 pearls. Participants in excursions to the Pearl Farm usually begin their visit with an introduction to the technology of growing pearls, and also get the opportunity to open an oyster shell. If there is a pearl in the sink, the excursionist receives it as a gift! A visit to the Pearl Museum provides an opportunity to learn the history of the traditional pearl fishing industry for the Arabian Peninsula. The windows, located on two floors of the museum, exhibit a collection of antique diving equipment and costumes for pearl hunters. The museum also exhibits a collection of especially valuable natural pearls of various sizes and colors.

Golf

The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah invites all fans of this game to enjoy the capabilities of two ultra-modern 18-hole courses at the Al Hamra and Tower Links golf clubs. Both clubs provide all the necessary world-class services and unprecedented golfing opportunities. Regional golf championships are traditionally held on their fields.

Camel race

Part of the traditional cultural and historical heritage of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. These are competitions that are usually held in the winter season on weekends on specialized camel jogging tracks in Digdag and Hamrania, surrounded by majestic dunes and groves of evergreen gaff trees. On weekdays, running tracks are usually filled with variegated camels walking along the tracks back and forth, as well as trainers preparing their wards for the races coming up on the weekend. Officially, camel races are held on Thursdays (in the afternoon) and early in the morning on Fridays.

Adventure in the mountains

For lovers of extreme sports and nature walks, the Hajar Mountains in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah are an ideal place to practice. Mountain adventures can include rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking in the mountains or the surrounding hills, as well as exploring water sources and trips along dry riverbeds of mountain rivers (wadi).

On the territory of the first in the UAE desert eco-resort Banyan Tree Wadi, vacationers can enjoy an exciting sight - a falcon show in the natural environment. The Banyan Tree Al Wadi desert eco-resort and spa is located on a 130-hectare nature reserve with Arabian gazelles and oryx antelopes.

National Museum of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah

Built in the mid-18th century during the Persian invasion, it was originally the home of representatives of the ruling family, which remained until 1964. In 1987, the former ruler of the emirate, Sheikh Sakr bin Muhammad Al Kassimi opened a museum in it, which today exhibited a number of historical and cultural monuments, as well as an interesting collection of archaeological and ethnological artifacts.

Fort Dhaya

Erected in the 16th century as a military fortress of defensive significance on a mountain towering above the Gulf, he witnessed a battle between local residents and British troops. In that battle, the towers of the fort were first burned, and later, in 1819, completely destroyed. Fort Dhaya was rebuilt in the 1990s. Its location on a strategically important hill allows you to admire from its walls unforgettable views of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
