The most large-scale canvas of the exposition is the monumental work of the Belarusian artist May Danzig "And he remembers the world saved ...", dedicated to the feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and the salvation of the collection of the Dresden gallery, destroyed by the American army. Also among the paintings and sculptures presented are works by artists that make up the glory of the Russian art school: Alexander Gerasimov, Alexei Gritsay, Nikolai Andronov, Semyon Chuikov, Nikolai Baskakov, Arkady Plastov, Tair Salakhov, Vladimir Stozharov, the Tkachev brothers and many others. “For the first time in the UAE, we present masterpieces of Russian and Soviet art,” said Andrei Filatov, founder of the Art Russe foundation. “We show what is precious to our country and to me personally.”

A wide stylistic range, outstanding craftsmanship, degree of expressiveness, colossal energy and artistic individuality of the masters of Russian and Soviet painting created a unique multifaceted phenomenon - Russian artistic language of the twentieth century. According to Her Holiness Sheikh Nahayyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development of the UAE, at the opening of the exhibition, “this unusual exhibition shows the intellectual, emotional and creative reality that is not well known to the public in the UAE, which will inevitably attract wide attention. "

According to him, "an exhibition organized by Art Russe makes us feel the genius of the Russian soul." The Minister also emphasized that the reflection of the theme of the Great Patriotic War, its consequences and peaceful life in Soviet art could serve as a lesson for modern generations. “Soviet art is of significant cultural and historical value,” said Sheikh Nahayyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. “The paintings show the destruction that the war brought. We see the consequences of this tragedy and how it affected ordinary people. This is a lesson for all of us. "
