Kate Moss was born in 1974 in the southern suburbs of London, in the city of Croydon. She was noticed by model agent Sarah Ducas at JFK airport while Kate and her mother were returning from a vacation in the Bahamas. According to Ducas, 14-year-old Kate looked "so airy, so transparent." The image of Kate did not fit with the canons of beauty of the 80s: her short stature, boyish figure and severe leanness prevent her from finding a job. Everything changes in 1992, when Kate and photographer Mario Sorrenti fly to the USA to shoot the new Calvin Klein campaign. "This is a new type of beauty," Klein admires. "Not an athletic superwoman, but something more sensual, fragile. She looks like a woman and a child at the same time. It is this type of sexuality that fascinates."

In the press, Kate Moss's style is called "heroin chic," and the shocked public accuses Kate of promoting anorexia. Despite the attacks, a few months later Kate made her debut in the British edition of Vogue, and since then she has been shot for the covers of more than 300 prestigious glossy publications, becoming the favorite of fashion critics and muse of designers. A professional career, coupled with a vibrant personal life, make Kate the most interesting character in the socialites. The public likes her rebellious spirit, independence and her own opinion on everything. In addition, the army of fans of Kate Moss style is replenished annually.

During her four-year romance with actor Johnny Depp, the style of the top model changed from a pronounced grunge to a refined vintage ... After Kate put on Vivienne Westwood boots from the 1981 Pirate collection at Santana’s concert in 2000, Kate’s status was a trendsetter fixed to it. Rellik vintage store owner Stephen Phillips admitted that "if people had told me then that a pair of boots would create such a stir, I would never have believed it!" Kate herself shares that she doesn’t often purposefully go shopping, but simply casually goes to various boutiques and shops and sometimes finds real rarities. "I found a store where things are sold, as if from the thirties. I like it all very much. I also love art deco," the top model says. In addition to the 30s, Kate loves the style of the jazz era of the 20s, the bohemian 60s and 70s and the grunge style of the 90s. In 2003, a new trend set by Kate thundered in Glastonbury: Bohemian chic.

The British festival is one of the most famous in the whole world. Rubber boots “hunters” have become almost a symbol of the Glastonbury festival due to its marshy area, and not everyone manages to look great. But not Kate! The festival star appears in mini, high boots with laces from Minnetonka and a scarf tied like a belt on a low waist. The Glastonbury fashion has since been a new occasion for shopping!

In 2005, Kate began to cultivate the image of a rock and roll beauty. At the Kate American Fashion Design Council award ceremony, Kate wore a lace dress by Christian Dior. She was awarded the Fashion Inspiration Award. Following her, Kate receives a new award at the British Fashion Awards as a model of the year. Karl Lagerfeld himself speaks of her as the main face of modern fashion: "everyone wants to be like her, but no one can become her."

The influence of Kate on the public taste can be judged by the mass fashion for skinny jeans. At the same time, the character of the pandemic is taken over by the popular Kate fashion for ugg boots, ballet flats, Alexander McQueen scarves and Balenciaga handbags.

Kate Moss loves to break the inveterate "rules" of the dress code. In 2006, on the carpet during the Costume Institute ball, instead of the haute couture design dress, the top model appeared in leather trousers and a tuxedo! Thanks to intuition and taste, Kate launches her own collection of 80 wardrobe items for the TopShop brand. "It seems to me that TopShop often copy what I wear. Therefore, we agreed: I give them my stamp, and they can convey my final products to the buyer." Kate makes a sufficient contribution to the collection: she selects sketches, participates in advertising campaigns, and, of course, remains true to her style.

By the time Kate launches her own fragrance Kate by Kate on the advice of her friend Stella McCartney, the top model has been on fashion Olympus for almost 20 years. It is not surprising that, according to Time, Kate is one of the most influential people in fashion: "Moss manages to remain at the forefront. It's not only about performance and external data, but also an impeccable ability to predict trends."

Throughout her career, Kate Moss has worked with major British, French, Italian and American design houses, including Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Chanel, Versace, Dolce & Gabanna, Narciso Rodriguez, Missoni, Louis Vuitton, Banana Republic, Cerruti 1881 and Burberry, and more than 10 years was the face of the cosmetics company Rimmel. She collaborated with world-class photography giants such as Mario Testino, Steven Klein, Juergen Teller and Mario Sorrenti, and with Longchamps to create her own bag collection.
