New Creative Director at Moschino

Italian House Moschino has appointed Jeremy Scott, 39-year-old Los Angeles-based designer, as his new creative director.
The designer admits that he refused various offers earlier because he wanted to strengthen the position of his own brand Jeremy Scott in the market. In his new post, he will replace Rosella Jardini, who has been leading the brand since 1994. "This is the closing of one chapter and the opening of a new one," says Scott. According to the designer, the main element driving sales from Moschino is humor and irony in the design of the brand’s model. "He has a fun start close to mine, as well as catchy messages and phrases that appeal to me." Scott's debut fall-winter collection is scheduled to be shown at Milan Fashion Week in February.
