Paulin, please tell us when your company was founded, what products do you represent in the UAE and who are your customers?
Our company was founded in 2006 in the UAE, and we represent a wide range of natural wood floors. Basically, we have two types of customers. The first are residents of the UAE who already have their own housing. We show them different versions of wooden floors and how they will look in their house. The second group of clients is professional interior designers and architects working with construction contractors. We conclude an agreement with them on the design of the interiors of hotels or residential buildings under construction in the Emirates. Today, we are the largest suppliers of natural wood floors in the UAE. All our products are manufactured in Sweden under the Kahrs brand.
What makes Kahrs wood floors unique?
The uniqueness of these floors and hardwoods is that they have a joint system that does not require glue. Actually, installing such floors is similar to laying a laminate. The boards of such floors are made according to a special cut, which facilitates the process of their installation and repair. Such floors are very pleasant to the touch, and a variety of colors - from light and golden brown to dark chocolate and almost black - allows you to choose the right shade for any interior.
Does this mean that different types of wood are used in the manufacture of Kahrs floors?
Basically, this is an oak board, tinted in different colors. Kahrs adheres to very strict environmental standards. As for exotic species of trees, with this kind of wood it is very difficult to guarantee the desired quality of the floor. Exotic wood is extracted in tropical forests, where the humidity is very high, therefore, such a tree is suitable for the floor only if the manufacturing technology and proper drying are observed. Our wood is harvested in the forests of Scandinavia. In addition to oak, we offer maple, cherry, birch floors. But the main demand, after all, for oak floors. They are the most durable.
Pauline, many may ask why they should buy wooden floors from you, when you can go to the “Chinese city” of Dragon Mart and buy them three times cheaper. What is the difference?
