Hublot watch for Formula 1

Hublot, a renowned Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches, was honored this spring to become the official Formula 1 world championship racing watch manufacturer. As part of a multi-year agreement, Hublot will launch a limited edition high-tech collection of formula 1 ™ watches, which is expected to make it one of the most exclusive in the world.

The world-famous Swiss watch brand has indicated its participation in Formula 1 with the creation of the special The F1 ™ King watch, a limited-edition model of The King Power, which includesI have the F1 ™ logo made of white gold. In addition, Swiss craftsmen will make other models of watches that will be part of a limited series, made in the appropriate colors and styles characteristic of the prestigious Formula 1 race.

The Dubai-branded Hublot boutique will present these unique collections throughout the entire racing season. In addition, during the F1 ™ season, the boutique will hold special guest programs, which every Hublot watch and Formula 1 racing enthusiast will be able to participate in. A series of watches dedicated to F1 combines first-class know-how, the latest technology, unusual (ceramics, carbon alloys, tantalum, tungsten, titanium, magnesium) and precious materials.

Jean-Claude Beaver, CEO of Hublot, whom we met at a press conference before the start of the Formula 1 race in Bahrain in March of this year, answered several of our questions with pleasure.

Mr. Beaver, let me congratulate you on receiving the status of the official Formula 1 racing watch house and thank you for the release of several models of Hublot women's watches that we have been waiting for for their appearance.

Yes, now we decided to pay more attention to women. We have already created special watches for Valentine's Day, as well as a special line of women's watches in collaboration with the African Wildlife Conservation Society.

We like that our collections, released in new sizes and new colors, decorated with new precious colored stones, are in demand among women. Initially, we focused only on the production of men's watches, but then, reducing the size of the dials and adding colors, materials and precious stones, we realized that we could attract increased attention of the female audience. Today we believe in women and are happy to work for them. Many modern women like men's sports watch models.

Do you plan to release new lines of women's watches?

No, we will not change the lines we have already launched, but we will supplement them with new models from new materials and in new color solutions. Color is the dominant element in watches, so we plan to play with it. You had a very famous model of men's watches Hublot 1 Million, studded with diamonds.

Will the female version of this model also appear?

Yes, we will present it at an exhibition in Basel this year. It will be an exact copy of the male model, only in a case with a diameter of 38 mm.

Having become the official watch of Formula 1 racing, do you plan to continue to take part in sports of various kinds around the world? Which sports star, in your opinion, can become the Hublot watch brand ambassador? Maybe someone from the Russian athletes?

We received exclusive rights to manufacture the first watch model in the history of Formula 1 racing, which was called F1 and on which the racing logo is engraved. It is a great honor for us. We will continue to cooperate with Formula 1 in the near future.

As for the brand ambassadors, there are not so many of them around the world, but there are women among them. In Russia, we have only one ambassador, Hublot. This is Vyacheslav Bykov, the head coach of the Russian hockey team. When he played hockey himself, he was three times Olympic champion. We are pleased.

What new will Hublot showcase at Basel 2010?

New female models, as well as a unique tourbillon with a minute repeater.

What is the secret to the success of the Hublot brand in the Middle East?

I would say that even in the most difficult times, we did not give up and did not stop our investments, research and the search for new forms and solutions. In 2009, it was very difficult for us, but January 2010 was the best in the history of Hublot. And if other watch brands are only now beginning to recover after the impact of the global financial crisis, we are confidently moving forward.
