A man harassing a woman will be deported from the United Arab Emirates

A foreigner will be deported from the United Arab Emirates for insulting and molesting a woman who was intoxicated.

A 30-year-old man will be deported from the UAE for molesting a woman in a state of intoxication. According to the victim, the man verbally abused her.

The accused of Egyptian descent and the applicant were in the elevator in a building in Al Barsha in May. The man began to insult the woman, on the basis of which she later turned to the police. Three days later, the man was detained. The defendant told the police that the woman is his friend, and they maintain communication on WhatsApp. However, he could not confirm this.

According to the defense, the victim filed an application at the insistence of an employee of the building in which the incident occurred. There was a conflict between the manager and the accused, and in this way he wants to harm the Egyptian.

In August, a Dubai trial court convicted the defendant and sentenced him to three months in prison with subsequent deportation. The Egyptian appealed to the Court of Appeal to appeal the decision.

On Wednesday, the presiding judge dismissed the defendant's appeal and upheld the verdict.
