Dubai residents and guests expect a "dry" night

Next Friday, August 9, 2019, Dubai's restaurants will limit the sale of alcohol.

Dubai, UAE. Next weekend, from 6.30 p.m. on Friday, August 9, until 7.30 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, restaurants and bars in Dubai will not serve alcoholic beverages to guests. The licensed establishments received the appropriate circular from the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of Dubai.

It is noted that alcohol will not be served in public catering facilities, including hotels, for 25 hours. Bottles of alcohol in the bars will also be covered, and some establishments will completely close the doors for visitors.

Traditionally the so-called "dry" night is announced on the eve of Arafat Day, which will be the first day of the religious holiday of Eid al-Adha.

It is noted that the authorities of the capital emirate of Abu Dhabi in June 2018 allowed to sell alcoholic beverages on religious holidays.
